Chinese cities can look very different from the countryside. In cities like Shanghai, the downtown area is modern, bright and busy. There are tall buildings, large malls and many colourful shop windows. China is also important for modern technology and development. Solar panels, electric cars and fast trains are common. China produces a lot of renewable energy. New technology can help to reduce pollution and improve people's health. But China also has environmental problems. Big cities can have smog, pollution and exhaust fumes. People are trying to do something about these problems. They can recycle, use renewable energy and create more eco-friendly technology.
